Volunteering As A Component Of Non-Formal Education

Volunteering is one of the non-formal activities with an important role in forming/shaping and developing students' personality. In Romanian schools, volunteering not part compulsory curriculum, being left to teachers or community. This research aims at looking volunteering, as a separate activity, subordinated non-governmental organizations other public institutions, but component educational activity school, carried out context. The objectives were: (1) identify teachers' perception on education; (2) pathways how involve schools; (3) perceptions benefits shaping personalities. tool was questionnaire administered from three counties western Romania. results show that, although all are involved there need develop implement legal framework that regulates system. Involving students contributes knowledge, mutual knowledge self-knowledge - crucial aspects development their personality, building own system values shall help them later. Through activities, value skills, attitudes acquired/formed formal informal context, but, same time, experiences which they participate necessary skills classroom daily life activities.
